The Grosset house is the complete remodelling and extension of a 1970’s house to giving it scale and grandeur complementing the surrounding Victorian Villas in the outstanding Old Bearsden Conservation Area.
The original two-storey house sits low down on the site. To gain full potential of this south facing position, the extension has lifted the house up to street level with an external bridge leading to the front door.
Internal bridges connect the extension with the original house. As the house turns towards the southern sun, the roof terrace creates a space to relax and enjoy the views overlooking the Manse burn with its informally landscaped edges.
Finished in timeless materials, natural blond sandstone, classic copper and slate, the Grosset House blends seamlessly with its neighbours.
